It wasn’t long before he went on to earn an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute to prove his point. ​​
Probably as an act of rebellion against the Marines and doctors who raised him, Jeff Athey spent his childhood competing in Pokémon tournaments, working in haunted houses, and letting the video game Mass Effect turn him gay. ​​
This is only a small collection of Jeff’s work over the last ten years. In addition to what you see here, his stories have been showcased on off-Broadway stages, finalled in international script competitions, and enjoyed by millions via TikTok.
